Akuma, no Mi, is the name of the devil fruits in One Piece that are mysterious and rare. They grant an ability to the eater but at the cost of the eater’s ability to swim in the water. This event takes place when they contact with water and they start losing their energy to move and sink. The abilities of Kairoseki or Sea stone also affect these devils. However, these abilities can change their form or any kind of fruit.

The characteristics of devil fruit include unique swirling patterns which are very common in all devil fruits. The origin of these fruits and their power is unknown to many of us.

What are the rules for the creation of Devil fruit?

To maintain the balance of the abilities of a devil fruit, there are some protocols and guidelines that one needs to follow while creating new fruits. These rules are given below:-

    • Do not try to create new fruits of similar ability that are present in an existing fruit. If you want to create a new fruit of your version of an existing fruit then you have to categorize a different page with your username.
    • Try to maintain a balance of your fruits with strengths and weaknesses as compared to other weaknesses.
    • There are some unbalanced fruits that allow their users to swim or resist the effect of the sea and Kairoseki.
    • Fruits that have multiple devil fruit abilities are called considered unbalanced fruits.
    • Only Zoan-type of fruits have models that are only limited to them.
    • The making of devil fruit is done with the Japanese convention of a two-syllable word for example Gomu Gomu no Mi or the English convention of something fruit, for example, Gum Gum fruit.
