Who is Itachi?

Itachi was the firstborn child of the Uchiha clan. He was born a powerful Ninja and was admired by many from his generation. He witnessed many atrocities from an early age. 

The third Shinobi world war led him to become a pacifist, and came out as the best ninja, hoping that he could erase all the fighting and conflict from the world in the future. Itachi was a graduate of the Academy for Shinobi and became the Anbu captain at age 11. At the age of 13, Itachi decided to massacre his entire clan except for his younger brother.

Why did Itachi kill his clan?

With the order of Danzo, Itachi was bounded to kill his clan. Danzo told Itachi of a coup d’etat planned by the Uchiha that would result in a civil war against the Leaf Village. Danzo said that Itachi kills his clan so that he can protect his village. Danzo shifts all the blame to Itachi so Susake would not hate the village for destroying the Uchiha. 

However, Uchiha was already planning to overthrow the village of its founding clans. 

Danzo took advantage of this situation and forced Itachi to kill his clan with the reward of the exclusion of Sasuke. Itachi accepted the deal to end the clan early until Sasuke is spared from the inevitable civil war engagement.

Why did Itachi not kill Sasuke?

Itachi loves Sasuke a lot and this is the reason he didn’t kill him. On the other hand, Danzo also removed Sasuke from the pre-planned Uchiha massacre as long as Itachi was alone in the plan. Itachi agreed to this deal because he was printing himself as a complete rogue ninja under no orders.

At what age did Itachi kill his clan?

Itachi was 13 years old when he killed his clan. He was very young at that time but he was an Anbu Black Ops member at the age of 11 and a Chunin by 10.

Who ordered Itachi to kill The Uchiha?

Danzo ordered Itachi to kill the Uchiha clan. He said to Itachi that his clan is going to try to overthrow the village government, and this must be stopped. But later, it was revealed that Danzo was more interested in obtaining the power of the Sharingan than he was in protecting Konoha.

What if Itachi didn’t kill his Clan?

If Itachi didn’t kill his clan then Uchiha would have attempted to overthrow the founding clans of the village. The police force of the village was regulating the Uchiha, a small operation in comparison to other clan responsibilities. Danzo also used Itachi as a pawn to obtain sharingans, but somewhere a revolt was brewing inside.
