Kakashi Hatake is one of the most important and famous characters. He is a leaf Shinobi, who is known as “Kakashi of the Sharingan.’ Kakashi was the son of white fang and the sensei of the main character of Naruto. He was also the former Anbu captain.
He is a masked handsome character who hides his eyes with a ninja headband.
What is Sharingan?
Sharingan is the Kekkei Genkai of the uchiha clan. ‘Three Great Dojutsu’ includes Byakugan, Sharingan, and Rinnegan. This was first manifested by the Indra Otsutsuki, who can be awakened by pure love and pure hatred.
Sharingan expresses the feelings of someone’s heart. Pure love and hate for someone close to you can lead to a consistent flow of chakra in Uchiha’s optic nerve that forms Sharingan. Sharingans can control the flow of chakra that turns his eyes into normal.
Sharingan can be transplanted to non-Uchiha.
Why Does Kakashi Cover His eyes?
Kakashi does not belong to Uchiha. He got his Sharingan from his childhood friend Obito Uchiha. In their childhood, when Kakashi and his friend were on their mission, a ninja stone hit his eyes and he got injured. After this incident, the stone ninja kidnaps Rin.
When Obita and Kakashi got the information about the kidnapping of Rin, they went to his rescue. While rescuing him, a huge boulder fell on the left side of the body because of the stone ninja’s Jutsu. Obita lost hope and thought he would not survive after this accident.
While Obito was on his deathbed, he asked Rin to transplant his Sharingan to Kakashi surgically. This was Kakashi’s birthday gift from Obito.
Only a regular Uchiha ninja who possesses a Sharingan eye can turn off Sharingan when he doesn’t need to use them. But Sharingan can’t be turned off for those who are not Uchiha.
Kakashi and Danzo are somewhat similar. Kakashi also can not turn off his Sharingan, that’s why he covers his eyes.
Why is Kakashi not able to deactivate his Sharingan?
The main reason that Kakashi is not able to deactivate his Sharingan is that he didn’t get his Sharingan hereditary. Kakashi got his Sharingan as a birthday gift from his friend and teammate Obito Uchiha. So, being a non-Uchiha, Kakashi is unable to deactivate his Sharingan.
Does Kakashi have full control over his Sharingan?
Kakashi is a non-Uchiha, he may get Sharingan from his friend but he doesn’t have full control over his flow of chakra to his Sharingan. Throughout the series, he was seen exhausted many times after using Sharingan like bleeding through his eyes and getting tired soon after using Sharingan.
A non-Uchiha has to use more chakras to use Sharingan, as being a non-Uchiha he runs out of chakra quickly. And he also can not turn back his eye to normal as he wishes.
To avoid this situation, Kakashi generally covers his eyes, so that his Sharingan doesn’t always stay on. He only opened his eyes during the battle. After fighting long battles he also becomes overtired that lay in his bed for a long time.
Why does Kakashi always wear a Mask?
Kakashi has a nosebleed and doesn’t want to let people know about his nosebleed. In anime, nosebleeds are not considered a disease or illness, but it is a culture to express one’s inner feelings.
It is a complete fan base theory. But the reality is, that Kishimoto always wants to give a mysterious look to his anime character, and that’s why he has been drawing Kakashi with a mask.
Kakashi also covers his Sharingan with his Ninja head badge to save his chakras.
